Before leaving for Charlotte, I opened some early Christmas gifts with Grammy, Grampy and Uncle Kyle. I really loved my Elmo Live and my shaking Brobee doll.
Then it was off to Charlotte, NC for Christmas with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Jeff.
Here we are having our Christmas Eve dinner. I really loved my mixed fruit cocktail...mmmm fruit. I even stole some of Daddy's.
Here are Daddy and I by the Christmas Tree.
Finally it was Christmas morning and I got to open some gifts...yay!
I especially loved the Knuffle Bunny book and doll that my Cousin Abby bought for me. I keep asking Grandma to read it to me over and over again.

Big Ice Storm!
Hi Everyone,
On Thursday night a big storm came to our area, and when I woke up Friday morning the house was cold and all the lights were out. Why would mommy and daddy do such a silly thing? Mommy bundled me up and we looked out the window at the trees.

I kept telling them "on" and "lights" and pointing at them but they wouldn't turn them on! Mommy said she should send this photo to the electric company...whatever that means.
When we looked outside at the trees they looked like this on our driveway, pretty huh? Mommy and Daddy didn't seem as happy about it as I was.
Mommy and Daddy decided it was too cold in the house for me and decided to spend some time and Grammy and Grampy's house. So we headed off to see them. This was the view daddy had when leaving our development, but the roads were even worse in other places:
Mommy and Daddy keep saying "I hope we get power back soon!" So I keep running around and saying "power" and they think it is cute! :-)

Happy Halloween!!!
I had a really fun time going around to some of the neighbors houses showing off my cute ballerina costume (Mommy made my tutu) and getting treats.
At first, I was a little hesitant about going out.

Eventually Daddy and I made it out of the house and headed off to find some neighbors...
Mmmm...I wish it could be Halloween every day.

A trip to the pumpkin patch...
Today we went to Berlin Orchards and had some fun!
I got to pose in the apple tree:

I got to play in a red barn that was my size. It was a blast!!!

Oh and of course there were pumpkins!

On the way home I decided to make sock puppets in the car with the socks I was wearing. I wish you could have been there!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
Emily is 18 months!
Hi Everyone, I am 18 months now and can do so much! I've started saying a bunch of new words and getting an attitude of my own. Yay for me! :-)
First, I had my big doctors appt today and got some new stats:
So still skinny and taller. Apparently I have a big head too! Hee hee hee. ;-)
This weekend mommy and daddy took me on a walk over to our neighborhood apple orchard and got some fresh apples. Mommy started eating one and I just had to try it. Yummy! They were really tasty. Daddy kept trying to take my picture when I was eating some which was distracting...it was so good I tried climbing on the couch to get a better bite! :-)

How to drink a can of soda...
Just in case you weren't in the know, I wanted to give a little lesson on how to drink a can of soda. This is important so pay attention!
1) You need a can of soda. See here:

2) It helps to have a flat surface to rest it on so that your hand/arm doesn't get tired.
3) Are you still with me? Because the next step is really important.
4) You tilt the can back with the spout by your mouth. Apparently a cold refreshing substance comes out that you can sip when you do this. The tipping looks like this:
5) It helps to have an entertaining program on to watch in between sips. I like to watch Sprout and at this moment I am watching "Fifi and the Flower Tots."
6) Sometimes people try to take your refreshing beverage away from you (either intentionally or unintentionally). I recommend having a special place to put it down. This is mine.
7) Thank you for taking time to learn my lesson on how to drink a can of soda. In case you get thirsty again later I want to show you where to find more. They come in these neat 12-packs and get stored in the corner.
